Evelyn Garcia, CPA

Managing Partner

Evelyn Garcia, CPA is a founder and Managing Partner of the firm responsible for the firm’s accounting and tax practice. Evelyn’s areas of expertise include tax planning and compliance, accounting and consulting services, business development, succession planning and family office services. While utilizing her significant experience in manufacturing, hospitality and service industries, she takes great pride in working with clients within a broad range of industries. 

Prior to joining the firm, Evelyn began her career at RSM US LLP, where she served over fifteen years in tax compliance and advisory. Evelyn received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University in 1996.  Evelyn is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the State of Florida.

Partner

Stacy Carlson, CPA is a founder and Partner of the firm responsible for providing tax compliance and accounting services to businesses, individuals, trusts and estates. Stacy provides professional advisory services to the manufacturing, real estate, professional services, retail, manufacturing and construction industries. Stacy's clients benefit from her depth of knowledge in tax strategies and tax research.

Prior to joining the firm, Stacy began her career at RSM US LLP, serving over six years in the area of tax compliance and advisory. She received her Bachelor and Master of Accounting Degrees from the University of Florida in 2006.  Stacy is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the State of Florida.

Tax Supervisor

Joanna Williams is a tax Supervisor with the firm responsible for providing accounting and tax compliance services to individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts and estates.

Prior to joining the firm, Joanna worked as a Tax Associate with both Evelyn and Stacy at Garcia How & Associates, LLC.

Joanna received her Masters Degree in Taxation from Florida Atlantic University and will be sitting for the Florida CPA exam in the near future.

Senior Manager

 Sandy Peters has been a CPA certified in Florida for over 30 years. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and is a member of the FICPA and AICPA. In addition, Sandy also owned a small business in SWFL for over 30 years. 

Tax Associate

 Alex Coburn graduated from FGCU in December 2021. She is currently enrolled to receive her Masters of Taxation and working towards her CPA license. Areas of focus include preparation of individual, corporate, partnership and fiduciary returns. 

Tax Associate

 Lizzy graduated from FGCU in May 2023. She is currently enrolled to receive her Masters of Taxation and working towards her CPA license. Areas of focus include preparation of individual, corporate, partnership and fiduciary returns. 

Accounting Client Services

 Rae Ann Gibson is responsible for the everyday financial accounting of our clients. She is highly experienced in the intricacies of bookkeeping and annual reporting.  

Client Services

 Vanessa Leon has many years in the area of customer service and relations. Aside from being the firms receptionist she also assists in bookkeeping. She has been with the firm since 2016. 

Executive Assistant 

Cherita White is the executive assistant to Evelyn and Stacy.  In addition, she oversees invoicing, collections, client communication, client document management, and office organization. She has been with the firm since 2023.

Senior Manager  

 Pat Starke has worked in Public accounting since 1975 in New Jersey and Florida. She graduated Cum Laude from Seton Hall University in New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Areas of focus include preparation and review of individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary returns.
